Hydro Turbines
Tamar’s core business, and our passion, is the design, manufacture and installation of hydro electric turbines. Tamar hydro systems are in operation around the world. Tamar systems can include design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of all electrical, hydraulic, control, protection and switchboard equipment.
The TAMAR turbine range includes Pelton, Turgo Impulse, Francis and Kaplan designs. These renewable energy hydro systems are available from 10kW to 5,000kW, for use anywhere water energy is available. In addition, Tyco Tamar also represents Orengine International within the Australia / Pacific region. Orengine is a major European and South American turbine supplier based in Italy. This effectively increases our turbine range to include large reaction turbines and Cross-Flow units. Our association with Orengine is flexible allowing us to manufacture under license and supply peripheral electrical and control equipment.
